At the Walter Roth Museum of Anthropology, located at  61 Main Street, North Cummingsburg, Georgetown are the ongoing  celebrations of the Amerindian Heritage Month 2012, where two weeks ago we had the opportunity to see Michael Khan’s adaptation of ‘Amerindian Tales and Legends of Guyana’.

Mr Khan very animatedly presented a one man enactment of the Creation Myth much to the delight of the audience.

The museum named after Walter Edmund Roth, an Anthropologist, showcases a good collection of artifacts related to the ancient cultures of the indigenous people of Guyana. They do have some interesting literature on the artifacts as well as videos on Amerindian traditions and cuisine.
