Also known as Spondias dulcis .

This tree grows on the property and is laden with fruit that have an acidic flavour and a crunchy texture. Now the problem I happen to have with it is that it has these bugs that are small and mealy  that could  possibly be aphids. I have been trying to get rid of them by spraying them with the recommended dishwashing liquid.

The fruit itself is eaten green or ripe or blended to make a juice. It can also be sliced and served in vinegar like a relish.
