Plectranthus amboinicus is called broad leaf thyme in Guyana. Also known as Cuban Oregano or Spanish Thyme, it can be propagated easily, through stem cuttings. I had this in my herb garden in East Africa, but it wasn’t used in Tanzanian cuisine as far as I am aware. It is however a mainstay of Guyanese cuisine.

I do not really visualise it as an easy addition to my artisanal  breads but I would try it in a marinade.
