We have a Pizza Hut here, (as we do KFC joints) but apparently none of them are legit franchices of the chains. Two outlets are located on Vlissengen road. But, by far, we have been looked after by Mario’s pizza during our ‘living out of a suitcase’ days. They have been sufficiently gourmand. The ones with chicken and pineapple are usually a safe bet.

We’ve also recreated our own pizzas at home after a long hiatus. My oven is fantastic ! My bread guru for the month, Peter Reinhart, would be appreciative of the crusty bases that are churned out of this beauty. Other Half drools over all the offerings which have among others included a special loaf infused with celery seeds and the local carribean thyme. mmmmmmmmI am truly the bread maker’s apprentice, this month.
